Molly M Designs is based in the Gilman District of Berkeley, California. Molly is professionally trained as an architect, and after using a laser cutter to make architectural models, she recognized the machine’s unique potential to make functional art. Her collection includes jewelry, homewares, leather accessories, and a kiddo collection.
Molly's work lies at the intersection of architecture, textile design, graphic design, and product design. Her approach to design is heavily influenced by her background in architecture - a synthesis of conceptual and material exploration. Her studio is run in the werkstatte tradition - a hybrid of design, craft, and tech with a focus on the applied arts. Above all, she is always looking for new and interesting ways to use Larry and Lola, her trusty lasercutters.
